Lisa Nash: Punching Through Menopause, One Ritual at a Time
Lisa Nash is a vibrant force in the media. Beyond Pause Live, she’s a host, fitness instructor, and passionate advocate for women’s health. Her weekly Instagram Lives with wellness experts and everyday heroes make education and empowerment part of her daily rhythm.
Lisa, you’ve worn so many hats – TV presenter, boxer, podcast host, and the powerhouse behind Pause Live. Looking back, what’s shaped you the most along the way?
I think what’s shaped me most is the grit that comes from never having anything handed to me. Every job, every opportunity — I fought for it. Literally and metaphorically! Boxing taught me discipline and resilience; TV taught me how to adapt on the spot; and menopause taught me how to really listen to my body. All those experiences combined made me tougher, but also softer in the right places. I think that’s what balance looks like — you can be both fierce and kind, and that’s where the magic happens, but I honestly feel like Im learning all the time.
Menopause hits everyone differently – physically, mentally, emotionally. What did your own journey look like, and what made you decide to be so open about it?
Honestly? It knocked me sideways. I wasn’t prepared. One minute I was powering through my days like usual, and the next I wasnt sure what was going on. Not feeling confident , brain fog was real and forgetting what i was saying on camera. Also dry eye was one of my biggest symptoms but is now managed due to some treatments I had with Dr Priya and IN Mode. That’s the truth no one really tells you.
Being open about it wasn’t planned — it just felt necessary. I realised if I was feeling lost, imagine how many women were out there quietly struggling, thinking it was just them. Talking about it made it less scary. I want women to know: it’s not the end, it’s a transformation. You’re not broken, you’re evolving.
You’ve teamed up with Love Mushrooms recently, and I love how you tie wellness into everything you do. Is there one product from the range that’s become a staple for you – and why?
Yes! The Lion’s Mane drops and capsules have become my absolute go-to. They help with focus and clarity — which, when you’re juggling work, family, and brain fog, is a game-changer. I call them my “get it done” capsules. They fit into my routine easily and make me feel sharper and more on it — without that crash you get from caffeine or energy drinks. i also love the cordyceps drops for when Im flagging in the afternoon. They are a must especially on Thurs evening before I teach my boxing classes.
We’re big believers in rituals here – those small daily or weekly things that keep you grounded when life gets chaotic. What’s one ritual you never skip, no matter how busy you are?
My Sunday reset. Every week, no matter what’s happening, I carve out that time. Ill make my coffee, write out what I need for the week ahead, also like to meet friends for that Sunday roast or Sunday catch up. It’s my version of hitting the “refresh” button. I also make sure I take my supplements and prep my Love Mushrooms — that way I don’t fall off track midweek. Rituals don’t have to be fancy; they just have to be consistent.

Bit of a curveball, but I have to ask because I’m nosey – what’s your go-to game on a games night? In my house, we’re currently obsessed with Big Potato’s Red Herrings and Cards Against Disney (not for the faint-hearted!).
Ha! I love a bit of Cards Against Humanity when I’m with my close friends — we’re all a bit savage after a glass of wine. But with family, it’s whatever the kids want haha. I do get so competitive it’s ridiculous, but it’s such a laugh. I think laughter is a ritual too, by the way. It’s medicine for the soul.
You’re constantly juggling projects and dashing between events – it’s exhausting just keeping up with you. What’s something you’re working on right now that you’re genuinely proud of?
Right now, I’m really proud of the platform we’re building with Pause Live. It’s grown into this amazing community where women can be seen and heard — not just sold to. That’s what drives me: purpose over product. I’m also working on new collaborations around fitness and menopause awareness, bridging that gap between movement, mindset, and midlife. It’s not just work; it’s a mission. Aside from women health stuff Im filming a new project called Hidden Gems , which is finding cool and exciting places to visit around London and afar.

My favourite saying has always been, “Those who have the ability, have the responsibility.” It’s what pushed me to get involved in women’s health products – because if we can make the space better for our daughters, we should. Do you have a quote or mantra you live by – something you say to others when they need a lift?
I have a couple actually, I love ‘Let your conscious be your guide’ .. the motto being just be kind and if you can sleep at night then your doing ok. Its actually one symptom I haven’t struggled with so far. Thank god also “You can’t pour from an empty cup.” Simple but true. For years I gave and gave, thinking rest was lazy or self-care was indulgent. Now I know it’s survival. You’ve got to fill yourself up first so you can give from overflow, not depletion. It’s not selfish; it’s necessary so you don’t burn out.
And finally, what does feeling empowered look like for you, right now?
Feeling empowered, for me, means showing up as I am. Not filtered, not apologising for getting older, not trying to fit anyone else’s version of ‘enough’. Empowerment is peace — knowing who you are and what you bring to the table, and not shrinking to make others comfortable. That’s where I’m at. And honestly? It feels bloody good.
